DESCRIPTION:  Provides bereavement support group, workshops, and speakers so that people of any age who are grieving the loss of a loved one can share their grief, get in touch with their grief, accept it and go forward with their lives. The groups are open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one, especially those with children. The group meets at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3305 Longlois Drive, Lafayette, IN.

The Center provides outreach to the community's families, schools, religious organizations, corporations, and service agencies by providing programs, conferences, and consultation in the areas of grief and loss.
It is our belief that by processing the grief experience people can be restored to good health, can rediscover joy, and can gain strength to move forward in life.

HOURS: Group meets 1st Thursday of each month from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

ELIGIBILITY: For those who are grieving a loss. All ages welcome

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUPS

 SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE

DESCRIPTION: Survivors of Suicide (SOS) is a peer-to-peer support group for those who have lost someone through suicide no matter when the loss occurred. It's a free, confidential support group that provides a place to grieve and heal, and share with others who have gone through similar experiences. The group is open to anyone who is 18 and older.
Meets at the MHA Community Building, 914 South St., Lafayette, IN (at the corner of 10th and South Streets). Parking in lot or on street. Doors open at 6:45.

HOURS: Meets the third Monday of every month, 7:00-8:30 PM.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to anyone 18 and older who has lost someone to suicide.
